FAQs

Do I need to book or can I just turn up?
Online booking is recommended in advance for all our activities.

When do I need to arrive?
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your activity start time. If you are delayed please notify us as soon as possible by calling the office on 01887 820071.

What happens if the weather is bad?
Our safaris run in all weather conditions, unless we deem it unsafe to operate. We recommend dressing appropriately for the weather on the day.

What should I wear?
You should wear stout shoes or boots and bring a waterproof jacket. We recommend a hat and gloves in winter.

Are there toilets on Safari?
Chemical Toilets are available by most of our Mountain Bothies although we advise all customers to visit the Toilets before you depart for your Safari.

Is Highland Safaris accessible?
Our Cafe, Gift Shop, Red Deer Cenre, Gold & Gem Panning and Discovery Trail are all fully accessible. We have disabled parking and toilets on site. We would be happy to discuss accessible safari options - please call us on 01887 820 071.

Where can I eat?
Our Café serves freshly baked cakes, homemade soup, and traditional scones, alongside a range of hot and cold drinks - all prepared and baked on site daily.

Can I take my dog on Safari?
Dogs are welcome in our Café, Gift Shop and around the grounds. Please note that, due to land access agreements and insurance policies, dogs are not permitted on Safaris, Loch Tay Boat Trips or inside the Red Deer Centre.

Can I use my Tesco Vouchers to pay for a Safari?
Tesco Vouchers are valid towards our Mini and Mountain Safaris and a visit to our Red Deer Centre. Booking is available online only – please enter your voucher code in the box at the checkout. Only one voucher can be applied per booking. Vouchers can only be used once.
