What are your opening hours?

Highland Safaris is open seven days a week from 9am to 5pm. Our café closes at 4.30pm and our gift shop remains open until 5pm. Opening times may vary seasonally, so please check our Opening Times & Prices page before travelling.

How much do your activities cost?

Prices vary by experience. Please visit our Opening Times & Prices page or the relevant activity page for current prices.

Do I need to book?

Advance booking is strongly recommended for all activities, particularly during weekends and school holidays. Some activities may be available on the day, but we cannot guarantee spaces.

When should I arrive?

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your activity begins. If you are delayed, call us as soon as possible on 01887 820071. Late arrival may mean that we cannot accommodate you without affecting other guests.

Where does my experience depart from?

Most experiences depart from the Highland Safaris Lodge at Dull, near Aberfeldy, PH15 2JQ.

Loch Tay Safaris depart from Loch Tay Highland Lodges Marina, by Killin, FK21 8TY. The marina and our lodge are separate locations, so please check your booking confirmation carefully.

Can I reach you by public transport or taxi?

Yes, but services in rural Perthshire can be limited. We recommend planning your complete journey and booking any taxis in advance.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Our activities normally operate in all weather conditions. We will only cancel or alter an experience if conditions are considered unsafe.

Please dress for the forecast and remember that Highland weather can change quickly.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable outdoor clothing, sturdy shoes or boots and bring a waterproof jacket. During colder weather, we also recommend warm layers, a hat and gloves.

Are there toilets during a safari?

Chemical toilets are available near most of our mountain bothies. However, we recommend using the toilets at the Highland Safaris Lodge before departure.

Is Highland Safaris accessible?

We provide accessible parking and toilets, and several areas of our site can accommodate visitors with limited mobility.

Can children and babies join a safari?

Children and babies can join selected safaris. Babies must have a suitable child seat supplied and fitted by their parent or guardian.

Minimum ages apply to some activities, including Archery and Axe Throwing. Please check the individual activity page before booking.

Where can I eat?

Our café serves homemade soup, freshly baked cakes, traditional scones, sandwiches and a selection of hot and cold drinks. Vegetarian and vegan choices are available. Please tell our team about any allergies or dietary requirements when ordering.

Can I bring my dog?

Dogs are welcome in our café, gift shop and around the grounds.

Due to land-access agreements, animal welfare and insurance requirements, dogs cannot join our Land Rover Safaris, Loch Tay Safaris, Red Deer & Barn Owl Experience, Archery or Axe Throwing.

Can I use Tesco Clubcard vouchers?

Tesco Clubcard vouchers can currently be used towards a handful of our activities and experiences.

Bookings must be made online via the Tesco Clubcard Website or the Clubcard App. Enter your voucher code during checkout; only one voucher can be used per booking and each code can only be redeemed once.

Is parking available?

Yes, free customer parking is available at the Highland Safaris Lodge.

Separate parking is available for Loch Tay Safaris guests at Loch Tay Highland Lodges. Please follow the directions provided in your booking confirmation.
